Charge Bike Company
Charge Bikes was founded in 2004 with the aim of bringing cycling to the masses, this was before electric biking technology had been released. They were making regular bikes in 2004. However, when electric bike technology was released, Charge Bikes jumped on the opportunity to make cycling even more accessible to the average person.
Many people don’t get into cycling because it is a difficult hobby. If you’re riding at a decent pace, riding seems fun until you get past a couple of miles but electric bikes changed the game. They made it so that you can work hard when you want or take it easy when you get tired, without getting stranded on a long bike ride or having to force yourself to pedal home. Charge Bikes realized the benefit of this and quickly moved toward an electric bike line.
E-bikes also make it so that you won’t have to choose your route based on which route doesn’t have hills, when you get to a hill just let the electric motor do most of the work for you! You’ll be up the hill in no time. Although this e-bike had a couple of reports by customers that it was slow up hills, it’s still able to climb hills, just not as fast as it goes on flat ground. This is to be expected on most e-bikes, especially for the amazing price tag on this bike. If you want to pay $5,000+ on an e-bike, I could recommend a few e-bikes that could climb a hill at the same speeds as on flat ground. For the money, however, this e-bike does a great job on hills.
Motor
The Charge Comfort E-bike is a cruiser bike made for casual comfortable riding. It comes with a powerful 250W motor that is great for all-around city riding. This motor is the perfect motor for commuting. With this powerful motor, the Charge Comfort is able to reach max speeds of up to 20 mph. There are faster e-bikes out there but 20 mph is fast enough for the majority of riders especially if you’re looking for a comfortable casual ride.
To choose how fast you want to go, the e-bike comes with a thumb throttle on the handlebars. In addition to a thumb throttle, it has the standard e-bike pedal assist. Pedal-assist allows you to reduce the amount of work you have to put in when pedaling, but it also has the thumb throttle so you can kick the e-bike into overdrive whenever you need to get a little extra push. This can be to climb a hill or just catch up with your friends you have the ability to speed up at will.
Battery
The Battery that comes with the Charge Comfort Electric Bike is a 418WH Removable Li-Ion Battery with Samsung Cells. Samsung is a great company that makes very high-quality products and has very good brand recognition. I have high faith that this battery will last you a long time and perform as well as you could imagine.
With the Samsung 418WH Battery, the Charge Comfort has a riding range of up to 50 miles. This is a great range for an e-bike. For most situations, this bike will get you to your destination, but if you need a longer range, you can check out the Delfast Top 3.0.
Having a removable battery is a great feature because not everyone will have a garage or house that they can or want to bring their bike in to charge it. With a removable battery, you can just take the battery into your house or garage and charge the battery while leaving the bike outside.
This is also a great feature if you will be commuting to work. Most jobs aren’t going to have a bike rack next to an outlet that allows you to charge your bike. Even if they do, you may not want to leave your charger laying there for anyone to grab.
If you will be commuting to work and your ride to work is more than 15-20 miles, it may be worth picking up a second charger to keep at work so that you don’t have to carry your charger with you every day. Also, this way you won’t run the risk of leaving your charger at home and having to pedal home.
Tires
The tires that come with the Charge Comfort E-bike are made by Goodyear tires, so they are top-of-the-line tires. Most people know Goodyear tires because they are one of the top brands for car tires. The tires provided by Goodyear are puncture resistant and come with a reflective stripe on the side of the tires so that you are more visible when out on the road. The tires are also all-weather tires with amazing traction, so rain or shine, you don’t have to worry about the tires sliding around.
An added feature that Charge thought of that I haven’t seen on many bikes is the bike comes with an automatic tire pressure sensor. It goes on the tire valve and shows green if your tire pressure is good and switches to red if you need to pump up your tires. I personally love this feature because it’s always annoying to get a flat on a ride and this makes it 10x easier to check your tire pressure.
Extra Features
The Charge Bikes Company is a big problem-solving company and over the many years they’ve been in business they’ve made some cool adjustments to their bikes that make them all the more convenient. One of those features I already mentioned is the tire pressure sensors. The Charge Comfort comes with easily visible tire pressure sensors so you will always know when you have a slow leak, need air, or have a complete flat.
Another feature is their foldable handlebar and pedal design. So, for many people, bike storage is a problem, especially in places like New York or Los Angeles where many people live in small apartments. The foldable handlebar and pedal design allow the handlebars to turn sideways while the front wheel stays straight. Your pedals also fold in. This gives your bike a narrow profile because your handlebars and pedals will be aligned with your bike. So, you will be able to store your bike almost anywhere. It could fit behind your couch, leaned against a wall, in a closet, or maybe even under your bed. This feature makes storage way easier and that alone could make this e-bike one of the best e-bikes for you if storage is a problem.

Conclusion
Charge Bikes is a great company that has been around since 2004. They started with normal bicycles with the goal of making biking more accessible to the masses. When electric bike technology came over, they moved over to electric bikes because they knew that electric bikes would be even more accessible to the masses. Now today they have 3 main bikes, one of which is the amazing Charge Comfort.
The Comfort is a great e-bike that can reach speeds of up to 20 mph and has a riding range of up to 50 miles. The Charge Comfort has many other features that I listed above, but overall this is a great commuter e-bike that is comfortable and convenient.
